Original artwork description:
This picture was painted during my studies at the Academy of Fine Arts (Saint-Petersburg) in the workshop of Yuri Kalyuta. Those days, from the several possible settings, it was this one that inspired me the most by the combination of rigour, ornamentalism, and the way as the young model echoes the image of the Mother of God on Tondo (Tondo Pitti), personifying the purity of the girl.
