This grainery is one that is just across the border in Saskatchewan. A few boards missing. A door that leans. But it is still a standing testament to the hard work of a small rural community. These structures are getting fewer and fewer. Semis haul the grain to giant metal bins. Everything is automated. The human element is being removed more and more. I will do my best to capture in oil paint, a part of this history.
Northern Grain is 8 x 8 inches on wooden panel. It is wired and ready to hang. It comes with a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist.
