Original artwork description:

This painting feels like a dreamscape set at the edge of day, where nature glows with an inner radiance. The scene is suffused with warm, golden light that glows from the lapping pool, blending into the soft pinks and purples of the tropical flora, evoking the hush of sunset. In the background, the night sets in like comforting velvet, shimmery and glittering with stars full of dreams and hope.

Tropical vegetation dominates the foreground: large, curling leaves edged in pink, tall palms silhouetted against the sun, and flowering plants and bananas with vibrant blossoms that seem to shimmer in the light. A serene body of water reflects hints of the sky and foliage, with delicate drips of paint suggesting both reflection and fluid movement, as if the landscape is alive and breathing.

The composition layers textures and shapes in a way that blurs the line between realism and imagination; plants appear both botanical and dreamlike, with exaggerated forms and colours that glow from within.

The entire piece radiates a sense of calm, enchantment, and mystery, as though the viewer has stumbled into a hidden tropical garden at dusk, just as day slips into night.

My new series of paintings showcases and exaggerate the beauty of tropical flora, through colour and my signature favourite techniques, merging impasto, my colour combinations and fine detailing.

I hope this new tropical botanical collection takes you away to a happy place, sets off glorious memories of times away, to a place you could stay for hours and return to the distractions of modern life each time more relaxed and meditative like a chilled buddha covered in fragrant coconut sun cream.

This original painting has been signed and titled by me on the back of the canvas.
