The painting aims to represent the feeling linked to moments of transition, when you look at the past with nostalgia but at the same time you are sure that something new and different is about to begin. Like when as a child at the end of the summer, you collected memories witha bit of sadness but at the same time there you had the desire to see friends and schoolmates again, to build new paths and opportunities together, enriched by the experiences that had just ended.

The painting was realized during Via Farini Art Residency in Milan.
