Original artwork description
This is one of two paintings that I completed last summer, inspired by the cliffs on the south coast, at Newhaven. I love the colossal form of cliffs when viewed from the beach. With these two paintings I have used thin oils so that I could move the paint around easily, giving the feel of watercolour and keeping the brushwork very loose. Framed in a white painted, wood frame with a small shadow gap between the canvas and frame.
