Rain and light on the streets of New York
The painting captures the moment just after the rain — droplets still fall, and pedestrians walk with umbrellas, marveling at the changing sky and the Empire State Building shining in the sun. Dark buildings frame the scene while a bright golden light opens in the center, creating striking contrast. Architectural details shift into abstraction at the edges, where shadows blur forms into painterly strokes. Bold textures, shimmering reflections on wet pavement, and rays stretching from yellow to blue across the sky bring the city to life.
I put only positive emotions into painting, my goal is to awaken happy thoughts, memories and dreams in every viewer.
This is an original cityscape, hand made with acrylic paint (size 60x40cm) in Italian canvas.
A painting brush and a palette knife, as well as a combination of methods give this picture the scope and depth of space.
