I have a love of tulips and painting them has become something of an obsession since I started one winter in France.
This latest painting is the first this year. Being in my studio during lockdown has been a way of escaping into my own world.
I have decided to cut out the detail and concentrate on the wonderful movement and shapes the tulips make and they weave and bend towards the light. Colour too is important but this new series will be painted with a limited palette to aid simplicity.
