Original artwork description
When I began this painting, I was thinking about the moment a flock of birds lifts off — that sudden rush of air, dark bodies scattering against a pale sky. I let fluid ink travel across layers of textured gesso, guiding it with water until the pigment fanned out into these feathered fringes of grey and pale blue. As the surface dried, the ink gathered into hundreds of small glossy droplets, forming a dark current that climbs through the composition; a few sparks of pure cobalt stayed caught inside it. I love how this piece changes with distance: from afar it feels airy and weightless, up close it becomes a constellation of raised black beads.
Stretched on a solid wooden frame with carefully finished 4 cm (1.5") deep edges — no frame needed. The work arrives ready to hang, signed on the back, with a certificate of authenticity. Packed with maximum protection for safe international shipping.
