Nature 579 — Abstract Windswept Feather (2026) Original Acrylic Painting by Muriel Napoli

This piece began with a single question: what does a gust of wind look like if you could freeze it in ink? I let black pigment run across the paper and followed where it wanted to travel, watching it gather into a dense, granular mass before trailing off into soft grey haze.
As always, I built the surface in layers — gesso, ink, water, acrylic — letting each one react with the last. In this session the ink pooled and beaded unusually fast, leaving a texture almost like scattered ash or wet sand, which I kept exactly as it fell.
Stretched on a solid wooden frame with carefully finished 4 cm (1.5") deep edges — no frame needed. The work arrives ready to hang, signed on the back, with a certificate of authenticity. Packed with maximum protection for safe international shipping.
