Naoko in pearl earrings was inspired by one of my favourite books and especially by the paragraph:

"From time to time, Naoko turned to me and smiled — a smile so fragile I was afraid it might shatter if I looked at it too long.
That day, everything seemed to be suspended. The world around us was breathing slowly, as if waiting for something."

My version of Naoko portrait is painted in pastel pink and vibrant gray tones for the background.

Naoko embodies delicacy, melancholy, and quiet beauty — qualities mirrored perfectly by pearls. Pearls are organic and luminous, yet soft and easily damaged, symbolizing both purity and vulnerability.

The painting continues on its sides, so there's no need to frame the artwork unless you really want to do so.
