Original artwork description
Nancy's dress is one of a series of dress portraits, and was made using layers of watercolours, textured gesso, and inks. Fragments of handpainted papers were collaged onto the body of the dress to create a slightly 3D effect.
This original painting was for the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolour (R.I.) 208th exhibition at the Mall Galleries, as was 'Bessie's Dress from the same series.
2 more of my dress paintings were selected for and exhibited at the Mall Galleries 2019.
This painting is professionally framed with a white wood box frame and museum quality non-reflective glass, and is ready to hang.
