Original artwork description:

Hiya ~
Seiraô did, in fact, evolve as a playful wave of happy colors, and morphed into a vibrant, living colony of organic palette scrapes and seaweed-like squiggles. I imagine minute organisms; diatoms, crystals and ameoba; vital to sea life, being carried by this great wave just before its crests. As for the name Seiraô, saying my imagination is fertile is an under statement…

Seiraô is the root from which the Goddess name, “Siren” evolved. She was a singing enchantresses capable of luring passing sailors to their islands. The word also refers to the act of entwining. This playful, yet powerful ocean wave nourishes marine life as easily as it sometimes swallows those who seek it’s treasures.

The deep 1-1/2" museum mount edges of Seiraô are painted as 3D extensions of the main image.

Materials Used: Paint, Acrylic on Canvas, Prewired for Hanging
