In this painting I wanted to tell the story of a woman and her little bag. For me, the bag is not just an accessory, but a symbol of what we all carry with us invisibly: memories, dreams, worries, secret joys.
I deliberately stretched and distorted her figure, because I wasn’t interested in a literal portrait. What I wanted to capture was her essence — her inner world rather than her outward appearance. The vivid brushstrokes, the fiery whirl of her hair, the patterns on her dress, and the colorful bag all reflect the intensity of her emotions.
This work is about the hidden universe behind everyday details. A small bag, a glance, a gesture — they can hold entire stories. That invisible richness, that tender mystery, is what inspired me.
This artwork is made by traditional technology. Oil paints, canvas and linseed oil.
The picture is made in the author's method of associative analysis.
I think that this is somewhere post-expressionism.
Oil paints.
