Mulberry Haze is a study in contrast, softness against intensity, calm against motion. I was drawn to the deep mulberry tones, the way they create depth and drama when placed beside warm pinks and butter yellow. I worked intuitively and meditatively, throwing, brushing, and layering paint until the surface felt alive. This is how I paint most of my pieces, with rhythm, instinct, and a little chaos. I never want to simply recreate a scene; I want to capture the energy of it, that fleeting emotional rush of standing in a field of wild poppies and feeling completely present. My work always comes back to colour, its emotion, its movement, and the way it can make a room feel alive.
