This painting depicts spring, when storks arrive from warm lands to Ukraine. It is then that you can often see them flying in the sky, walking across the fields in search of food, forming their nests. This painting depicts a part of a Ukrainian village where we see cozy houses, a mighty old tree, a field, and a stork looking out over the field.
Memories in Red
This series brings together paintings that capture the full spectrum of my memories-scenes, feelings, and experiences from my time in pre-war Ukraine. The color red is central to this collection because it represents warmth, depth, and the positive emotions that I associate with my homeland. But at the same time remembers about todays war. Many of these works also reflect my childhood memories.
