I painted this watercolor en plein air in the heart of Madrid, inspired by the magical stillness of an early morning on Gran Vía.

Working directly from life, I wanted to capture the first golden rays of sunlight as they bathed the iconic Metropolis Building and filled the city with a fresh, tranquil glow.

The delicate blue and violet hues of the sky enhance this fleeting moment of serenity before Madrid comes to life. My hope was to preserve the city’s timeless charm and quiet elegance.
