This abstract painting explores the beauty of quiet moments and gentle transitions. Built through layers of soft whites, pale blue-greys, delicate pinks and subtle touches of magenta, the composition evokes memories of pale morning light and the calm atmosphere of places shaped by time.

Subtle lines, drawn in oil pastel, move softly through the composition and the palette is intentionally restrained and luminous, balancing softness with depth. Together, the work evokes a feeling of serenity and pause, where nothing demands attention, yet everything feels present. A pause. A place where light, texture, and silence coexist.

My new body of work explores stillness, balance, and the quiet presence of layered surfaces. Working primarily in soft, tonal palettes—whites, greys, pale pink, and muted neutrals—I build each piece slowly, allowing colours to settle, soften, and interact over time.

Materials used:

Acrylic paint, watercolour and oil pastels
