Reduction Linocut is a printmaking technique where a single Lino block is used to create a multi-coloured image. The process involves carving away the areas of the block that will remain white or the lightest colour. After each colour is printed. more of the block is carved away to preserve the area fort the subsequent colours. The method requires careful planning and precision since once a layer is printed, it cannot be changed. The final result is a vibrant and intricate print with multiple colours that gradually build up through the reduction process.
