Original artwork description
This one was more direct, with less thinking and adjusting. That's how I'd like to work with my drawings now. I'd like them to be immediate. I want to keep most of the raw, first stroke. I don't want to erase mistakes. I don't want to care about everything being correct.
My drawings are done on high quality paper, treated with several layers of fixative to protect from smudging and fading. You can hang them directly on your wall, but framing is usually preferred.
I carefully package my work for international shipment. The drawings are rolled into cardboard tubes, which are rolled in corrugated cardboard, then placed in thick-walled cardboard boxes. (See photos of packaging in the “Me at work” section of my profile).
