Egg yolk yellow Sunset,
Amber, peach and cobalt blue sky,

Deep coastal valley and ancient woodland,

Words and experience of my holiday memories in North Cornwall.
Original impressionist watercolour landscape on rough texture Saunders Waterford 300 gsm 140lb.
I created this painting in the Art Garden Studio not long after returning back from my adventure into Cornwall.
I used a Chinese brush for the wet on wet washes and with the movement of holding the paper with each wash of colour. The challenge was not to loose my Sun as I worked with each brushstroke movement while the paper was wet. Focusing on achieving the Sunset sky first then working down to the woodland treeline using a scrubbing technique to achieve the patterns and shapes of nature.
All my original watercolours are signed on the front and back of artwork.

Rough textured watercolour paper Saunders Waterford 300gsm 140lb, Chinese brushes, filbert brush, sable hair brush, Windsor and Newton watercolours,
