Original artwork description
I love to paint still life in a way which hints at an underlying story but it is left to the viewer to decide for themselves what that may be. I will however share with you that the jug was a gift from a very special friend following my house/studio move last year and the roses I left to dry and it sits on my studio window sill where I admire the beauty of the shapes and cherish the sentiment. The use of a palette knife introduces minimal texture and a contemporary vibe to an evocative paiting.
This painting is sold unframed but is suitable to do so should you wish. I do not varnish my paintings , as I prefer the slightly chalky look of the oils as laid down. If you would like it varnished before sending, I can do so at no extra cost.
The painting is signed, dated and titled on the reverse and initialled on the front.
I ship internationally using an insured, tracked and signed for service. Please note that payment of import duty/tax is the responsibility of the buyer.
