Original artwork description:

Anyone who has ever visited the far north of Scotland in midsummer will be aware of how light the sky is all night. This painting depicts such an occasion - the sun has gone down but the sky is still bery bright even though there are a few random clouds floating about. There is just enough light to make out the rocks with a bit of spray and a few clumps of sea pinks growing on those that are in the foreground.

Materials used:

stretched canvas and acrylic paint
