Original artwork description
I have traveled to Mexico several times, for business and pleasure. I lived there for almost two years. It is a country that I love very much for its people, its history, its landscapes and its culture. For this new series I photographed and documented shop signs, advertisements and hand-painted signs on the walls. I then redrawn these raw letters and logos on paper and then I assembled and positioned them to create compositions graphically balanced. Acrylic on paper.
