Memories of Venice (2026) Original Oil Painting by Olga Valenzuela

My new Miniature City Series is created using expressive impasto technique on a small format canvas. Working with rich texture and palette knife details on such a compact surface requires precision and careful balance — a challenge that has become an essential part of this series.

For this painting, I portrayed Venedig the way I remember it: luminous turquoise water reflecting the light, contrasted by quieter, darker architectural tones. The bright domes and soft sky blue create a dreamy atmosphere filled with travel memories and the timeless feeling of the city.
This painting has been freshly completed and, due to the rich impasto texture, requires additional drying time. It will be ready for shipment by the end of May.
