Original artwork description
An original watercolour study of a pea pod. For a rich kitchen accent piece of peas!
I loved painting this deep green ground in watercolour then adding the pea pod in rich ruby red and extruding the rounded orbs of the peas.
I wanted a decadent look to this vegetable still life and pushed the limits of watercolour by applying the paint more thickly than usual.
If you enjoy the fruits of your allotment or simply love vegetable still life then this would make a groovy accent piece.
I painted it on hand made 100% cotton rag paper by Two Rivers Paper in Watchet, Somerset.
I will package your original pea painting very sturdily for total protection in transit.
Originals have more soul than prints.
