Sketch. Maslenitsa. Farevell off winter. XVII century. One of the sketches for Shrovetide made in gouache in 2001. The chosen technique is grisaille and tonal analysis of rhythms and spots of people and costumes in the composition and organization of the center. I completed several dozen sketches in search of harmony. I really lacked natural material: sketches made by me from nature.
