This mask, in white, ochre, orange and brown, symbolizes the connection between the physical and spiritual worlds. It reflects the cultural depth of a people who see spirituality and nature as essential parts of their lives and existence. The small detail of the large, deep-set eyes reinforces the idea that the mask is a window to the spiritual world, a means by which ancestors or gods transcend themselves in rituals, forming a link between the physical and supernatural worlds and can manifest themselves or communicate with the living.
