Marsh Mallows (2024)Linocut by Helen Maxfield
38 x 50 x 0.1cm (unframed) / 30 x 39.5cm (actual image size)
£240Sold
Artwork description
I stopped off at Southwold Maize Maze after delivering prints to Craftco. This was my view of Southwold marshes whilst listening to hoots of laughter coming from inside the maze. The wildflowers in the foreground (I later discovered!) have the rather modest name ‘common mallow’, and it amused me part way through making the print to call it ‘Marsh Mallows’.
Edition of 17 and image size 30 x 40cm.
All of my prints are original linocuts and are handmade by me. Because they are handmade, prints inevitably have minuscule differences...part of the charm of being made by a person and not a machine!
I have used Lawrence oil-based relief printing inks and Hereford relief paper, 145gsm. I use a BlueBoy printing press.
Prints will be sent to you unframed, protected with cellophane in a re-enforced padded envelope on a Special Delivery service with the Post Office.
I retain copyright
