Mariah –
you were not a statue.
You were an escape.
You were birth in the dirt.
You were fear,
you were strength,
you were hope –
in pain.

And you –
you never possessed,
but you carried.
You held,
you let go.

Today,
when women are supposed to be silent,
because they are too loud,
too wild,
too uncomfortable –

you stand there,
not in blue and gold,
but in dust,
in tears,
in fire.

And whisper to us:

"Stand up.
Speak.
Carry the new.
You are not too much.
You are just right."

This artwork is created in Mixedmedia technique (Painting, Linocut, graphic and collage) on canvas with high-quality materials. The side is painted in black and the surface is finished with a matt UV varnish so that you can enjoy the work of art for a long time.
