Original artwork description
This artwork is inspired by the volcanic matter and history of the island of Santorini (Greece).
The project was born from the physical need to immerse myself in the material from which I take inspiration and in the material with which I create these works of art. It is a visceral research between oil painting and my emotions.
The idea of joining two canvases came to me to solve the problems of transporting large works, but then I was fascinated by it and found this cut interesting. From this research I will also use it for medium or small paintings
The cut reminds me of a wound, a negative mark that has made the work of art imperfect just as negative events make our life imperfect.
The work of art is much more interesting, as is the case with life.
The painting is made with excellent quality materials, pure pigment oil colors by Maimeri and Mussini and with artisan gallery-type canvas.
It is ready to hang.
Signed on the back and authenticated.
