Artwork description:

A magical deserted beach on Isle of Harris just as dawn approaches. The beautiful midnight blue sky and blonde sands of Luskentyre Beach in a minimalist, contemporary style. If ever there was a place to go far away from the world where you could sit and just listen to the waves as they roll in, this is it. At four in the morning in Summer just as the sun was rising, the front edge of light was catching the beaches on the tiny island of Taransay on the horizon. Not a soul was stirring as I stood alone with the waves.

Image size 30 x 30 plus approx 2 inches of white border with the title, number and signature in the border under the image.

Also available on canvas on request.

I photograph and print every image, I do not outsource any part of my workflow. Each canvas has been painstakingly crafted to ensure the true colours, resolution and texture are exactly as they should be.

For these special small editions of my work I use stunning Canson Aquarelle Paper which has a lovely texture like a watercolour painting.

Canson are one of the oldest paper manufacturers in the world, they have been making paper and canvas for over 450 years in France. Founded in 1557 and printers to Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette, Canson has the choice of many famous artists such as Picasso, Ingres, Chagal and Miro to name but a few. Canson are Eco Friendly - they purchase paper pulp only from forests managed in a sustainable way which also makes them pretty special.
