An original 24" x 18" or 60.96cm x 45.72cm, textured oil painting of a Martha's Vineyard home interior! Known for it's beautiful homes, this lovely island is off the coast of Nantucket. I worked there one summer during college and it is a wonderful place!
There is a lot to see in this painting! It's filled with many details, all painted with meticulously-applied, luscious strokes of thick oil paint!
A Bernese Mountain Dog is taking a nap, above him hang paintings of iconic scenes of Martha's Vineyard including The West Chop Lighthouse, A sailing yacht and The Aquinnah Cliffs – formerly known as Gay Head and of course the dog's portrait! Above the door is a framed, sculpted picture of a historical boat. In the next room, a cat is basking in the afternoon sun and a compass painting hangs on the wall. Blue and white chinoiserie decorations complete this elegant, well-love home.
