Original artwork description
A painting created through free improvisation.
Action painting with music by Stone Temple Pilots (especially the song "Perdida" that plays on loop during the final phase of the piece).
Stories from the past and present. The unknown, what slips through our fingers... Nature, antiquity, the earthly and the spiritual.
We believe ourselves to be Gods, but we are just monkeys who have grown up.
Gestural, intuitive painting that lets things happen and leans on what appears. Taking advantage of the accident and accepting the consequences.
The need to tell stories, to leave a mark, to understand the world, which is always modern and ancient.
Nothing matters much... Working with a lost gaze...
Materials used:
acrylic, gesso, pigments, charcoal, wax, graphite, oil stick
Details:
