Looking up (2023) Original Acrylic Painting by Sophie HORS

£775.6
Original artwork description
I have always been fascinated by palm trees, and for this painting I looked up towards the sky before taking my photograph. The tall palm trees gently sawing in the breeze create a unique pattern against the sky, framed by light and drifting clouds. I painted a luminous sky filled with soft, cotton-like white clouds to capture the brilliance of the light. The palm trees were painted with broad, expressive brush strokes to convey the movement of the fronds stirred by the wind. This composition celebrates light, escape and the gentle warmth of sunny climates. I painted the American floater frame in a deep red tone to enhance the blues and the greens.
