I painted this artwork during a long flight from Melbourne to Hong Kong, missing my beloved cat while I was away visiting family.

Somebody once said a piece of art is part of an Artist’s life, and I agree with it.
This is a peaceful scene that I sometimes see while my cat Cadbury resting on her favourite blue scarf, enjoying the afternoon sun and looking at magpies from the window. It is a serene sight to enjoy, and is the best meditation for me, like time frozen at that moment.

I have the same affirmation from my previous small artwork series – Family by Choice for this particular piece. We adopted Cadbury from RSPCA many years ago, she was skinny and tiny back then. We shower her love every day, over time she has become the anchor of my life, Cadbury is my family by choice with no doubt.
