Long Crendon. Hyde Street (2002)Oil painting
by Simon Kozhin
£3,314.36
Original artwork description
In this painting, I sought to capture the serene, almost timeless essence of an English village at dusk. My brushstrokes carry the cool tones of twilight, blending with the warm lights of homes, evoking a feeling of tranquil stability. This piece is meant to instill a sense of calm, bringing the peacefulness of a quaint village into your space. This walk with the Abbey Notley in England with a field sketch of a ripple stuck in my mind. From time to time it rained, and this gave a special energy charge to write the sketch faster, without powerful detailing. Using a fairly limited palette, I worked as a tonalist artist.
