I like to people watch in public places. Just sit and observe.
This young man had ordered a gorgeous loaded sandwich and both he and the sandwich deserved to be immortalised in oil paint.
I have added a little leopard print cloth to the table behind...a nod to Britain's greatest people watcher, the late Beryl Cook.
It is a very current scene - swanky cafe culture.
