What is it that makes a 'good' painting? Exploring of shape, colour and texture until the feeling is right, it's there, it's finished, it's hit a sweet spot.
The lime green is still playing a big role in my paintings, I'm acutely aware of Spring this year the vibrant luminosity of the new growth, changing shades in the light.
I began The Living colour collection around a year ago, it is my plan to paint one daily.
This canvas is textured with many layers of Acrylic paint, each new coat allowed to dry before adding another.
I am finishing this painting with a coat of epoxy uv resin.
76cm x 60cm x 2cm
I have also signed this work on the side.
