Artwork description
The glorious Lime Avenue on Hampstead Heath, my favourite place to walk and sketch...
This is a handmade original print; I redrew my sketch onto a grounded zinc plate with an etching needle, before placing it in an acid bath. The exposed line is 'bitten' leaving deep grooves to hold ink. I then added an aquatint to achieve the delicate tones.
The plate is inked for every print in the edition, meaning each one is unique.
