In this semi-abstract work, lilac serves as a starting point for delving into the interaction between color, light, and form. The color palette is deep, complex, and emotionally charged — rich purples, dark crimsons, inky blacks, and bursts of emerald green interlace with sudden flashes of lemon yellow and vibrant pink. These bold color combinations create tension and visual dynamism, inviting the viewer to spend time deciphering the layers beneath. Expressive palette knife strokes lend the surface a sculptural quality: the paint itself becomes almost three-dimensional, giving the image a tactile, raw energy. The textures make the piece feel alive, changing its character depending on light and perspective, much like how lilacs shift in color and form in nature.
