In this painting I aimed to avoid literal depiction of lilac, but capture the overwhelming sensory experience instead and create an overall effect of a lush, perhaps slightly wild, floral abundance . It feels like plunging into the heart of a blooming thicket, where individual blossoms merge into a unified field of color and texture. The eye isn't drawn to a single focal point but wanders through the intricate interplay of light and shadow, much like one's senses are enveloped by the totality of a blooming garden. Individual strokes of green, white, and hints of other colors aren't distinct entities but contribute to a larger, more impactful visual statement.
