Like You captures a moment of quiet resilience — a lone tree rising from the mist-covered waters of a Scottish loch. Surrounded by stillness, its delicate winter branches reach upward through a veil of pale blue light, as the sun tries to break through the haze. The mist obscures the surrounding forest, leaving only the tree, its reflection, and the suggestion of air and silence.

The title is inspired by a poem by Anne Frater, speaking to strength, solitude, and the enduring spirit of life in even the most fragile forms. The small tree grows from a submerged crannog — an ancient island of human making — a symbol of persistence rooted in history and nature alike.

Serene yet powerful, Like You invites contemplation. It is a portrait of endurance, light, and the quiet beauty of being alone, yet unbroken.

About My Work

Your beautiful artwork will be Giclée printed on fabulous Canson Aquarelle 300gsm Paper which has the most fabulous watercolour paper texture and holds colour for a lifetime. Canson have been making paper for over 450 years and their paper was used by Picasso, Ingres, Miro and Warhol to name but a few. The 10 inks I use for my printing are state-of-the-art non fade Epson Ultrachrome K3 with Vivid Magenta.

The print size is 32 x 48 inches with an additional white border of 2 inches all round the image to include the details of the print number, title and my signature. This makes a stunning print for above a sofa or over the bed.

My work has been exhibited in New York and elsewhere and is collected all over the world; I currently have an exhibition on display in South Korea.
