I was out for a walk about a mile from my home on a bright, chilly winter's day, walking up a familiar track, when I turned around and saw this view. The normally unremarkable vista of a farmer's field and trees beyond had been transformed by a flood in the field and the late afternoon sun bursting from behind a cloud. I love painting my local area, so this one had to be added to my collection. It is painted in oils on a 406mm x 305mm (16 inch x 12 inch) canvas board.
