Plants are one of the most important themes in my work.
I have searched for subjects in various botanical gardens in various cities, or randomly in the natural environment.
I painted them through a slow construction, often monochrome, perfectly positioned in the centre of the canvas,
looking for each one's character, some noisy and full of strength, others, distant, still and silent.
But it is not botany that interests me, it is painting and the plants in the painting are a theme, in this case the Agave illuminated by summer light.
