Half armadillo, half lemur, Keeno, with his big bright eyes, is part of the SakinoOz family.

Like all SakinoOz, Keeno champions a cause: NO to handbags made from the leather of scaled animals, YES to creatures made from deconstructed faux-scale handbags, in faux leather of course!

Keeno was made from a shiny black vinyl scaly handbag, which was then deconstructed and restructured differently to form his body, and sewn back together section by section at the joints.

His tail is sewn from plush acrylic wool fabric and fitted with a flexible wire inside that allows it to be shaped as desired. His eyes are made of blown glass, and small natural gourds from the south of France were used and carved to form the whites of his eyes. The ears and legs were modelled in pink clay paste, then dried and painted with acrylic paint.

Materials: vinyl scale fabric, blown glass, calabash wood, acrylic plush wool fabric, pink clay paste, acrylic paint, marine varnish.

Dimensions: seated approx. H30 x W23 x D 46 cm, and with tail 80 cm.
