In this vibrant expression of rural tranquility, I've layered oil with bold, fauvist hues to evoke the lively energy of nature. Shapes intertwine, suggesting growth and the interconnection of life. This painting is a celebration, a visual symphony meant to infuse any space with the spirited essence of the natural world. It's an invitation to pause and embrace the beauty found in the simplicity of a rustic landscape. The painting is part of the series "Legend of a rural yard", which I painted in the summer of 2020 in my studio in the village of Bolyarsko, Bulgaria. The life-giving connection with nature and the place where I grew up provoked me to rediscover the memories of my childhood, as well as painting in nature. My models in this endeavor were the vegetables that my family and I had grown.
