Original artwork description:

This landscape was painted en plein air in Yelovshchyna, near Chernihiv. The area boasts an interesting topography with ravines and hills, and both deciduous and coniferous trees grow there. In late autumn, the ground there is strewn with yellow fallen leaves.

The landscape was painted from life, using oil paints on canvas stretched over a wooden stretcher.
