Last snow. March (2023)Oil painting by Simon Kozhin

In March, the sun shines more often and there is less snow, it thaws and changes its color adding green shades. The color of trees in the sun becomes more interesting and varied, the bark on tree trunks plays with different shades, and the structure and silhouette of objects is better visible in the local shades. The shadows on the snow in March are the brightest and bluest. It is in spring that the snow is the loosest and at the same time very picturesque, with a non-uniform texture.
