The painting aims to give voice to the insecurity that we feel when contemporary challenges confront us with sudden changes and obstacles that seem insurmountable, that reflect the growing complexity of the world and are perceived as a tangle of factors to be unraveled and identified. It is no coincidence, in fact, that in the scene depicted, an apparently calm lake suddenly reveals an enormous obstacle in front of our boat, made up of many smaller elements that, like viscera, intertwine with each other, composing a new and complex difficulty for which we were not (or did not think we were) prepared.
Protective varnish, signed certificate of authenticity. Hanging system in the back.
The painting has been realized during VIR Via Farini Art Residency in Milan, and it was exposed at Giovanarte Art Prize in Piacenza from 17th May 2025 to 7th June 2025.
