A high view of the countryside, the earth on the horizon. The style is spontaneous and graphic. The landscape is suggested by touches of colour, scratches in the fresh paint. Fades in oil suggest the distant, the horizon lost in the mists, the atmospheric perspective. I like to play with the "accidents" of painting: on the left side of the painting, almost imperceptible vertical veils suggest a rainfall, these very localised rains falling at one place in the landscape and not at another, as if a giant were pouring buckets of water.
This figurative painting is done in thin layers of oil. The sky is painted in different shades of blue, the ground, the meadows, the fields, are painted with browns, greens, beiges.
